Ms Bella Rose - German Shepherd Mix Puppy
Needs fostering or adoption!

Cambridge, Ohio

Meet Little Ms Bella Rose, who is visually impaired with the condition of Bi Lateral Micro Opthalmnia with questionable vision,  which means she was born with small eyes.  She runs into things sometimes and can see best in sunlight or bright light and does not like to go outdoors at  night.   Ideally, she would would be fostered or adopted by someone who is familiar with visually impaired dogs for the attention and training she needs.  She is a very special and incredibly sweet puppy who likes to be with humans all the time or she seems frightened to be left alone.

She was thrown over a 6 foot privacy fence and the woman whose fence she was thrown over brought her to an animal shelter and I happened to be there.  We noticed her eyes and thought she had cherry eye in both of them and although I told them I would take her (from the shelter) I left her there overnight for the doctor to take a look at her eyes.

She has had a couple baths, a Capstar and today had Frontline applied.  She has had her canine combo shot, kennel cough inoculation, been dewormed with Panacur for 3 days and if I have her long enough she will receive her booster shots and be spayed if the doctor says she can.

Bella Rose is now in the care of my rescue but I have no experience with visually impaired puppies and I cannot keep her.  She appears to be a German Shepherd mix and weighs about 18 pounds and I think is about 10-12 weeks old.  If not for her poor vision, she is just like any puppy her age, sweet and playful. I did not want to leave her at the shelter for fear they may have euthanized her because of her eyes.  We are located in Cambridge, Ohio.  Please reply privately by email to discuss Bella Rose.
Thank you very much,  Suzy

Blind Boxer/shepherd puppy in Waterford, MI - from an email sent to Blinddogs.com:

We recently took in a blind puppy, approximately 5 months old.  We took him in so he would not end up at a shelter and put to sleep. We thought we had a foster home that would be able to handle this special needs guy but it fell through and we were hoping there might be a rescue group able to help us out?

He’s believed to be a boxer/shepherd mix and weighs around 35 pounds.  He’s active and fun loving.  He is crate trained and he does let you know when he has to go outside, you just need to scent the door and train him where it is.  He’s currently being fostered in Waterford, MI but we need to move him ASAP because he’s currently with several other dogs and not getting the attention he deserves.  If anyone can help please let me know.  Thanks.
